HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!!!

Well, I was going to post a cute little bunny with Easter eggs for you guys, but the iPad I'm currently using as my source to the media world is being a stupid moron. So, here's the link. If this infects your phone/computer/means of electronics, I apologize in advance.

Again, Happy Easter, loving viewers of CVON!

, RS

p.s. I might not be posting as much on CVON this week b/c I'm on vacation (XP) trying to soak up some Vitamin D. You may never know; I might surprise myself....

Uncle Vernon is Dead :'(

I just learned today that Richard Griffiths (aka Mr. Dursley) has died in the past 24 hours...

WHY???!!!

Anyway, I have nothing else to say. I can't really. I mean, Uncle Vernon is dead. I'll just sit in front of my computer until I return to somewhat-normal. :(

Hmm, Somewhat-Normal... that sounds like a good book title...

Anyway, RIP Richard Griffths. You will be missed...

I Suck at Goals...

Last week this Friday (tomorrow), I promised some writer friends that I'd have a new chapter of the new writing project I'm working on.

I don't.

The part that sucks is that I always do this sort of thing EVERY! SINGLE! FREAKING! TIME! I also never ever finish anything I start, which always happens, and I never feel effing satisfied, and I NEED TO LOOK AT THAT DAMN 25 THINGS LIST AGAIN!!!

Sorry. I've had a long day. Let's just say I woke up at five thirty this morning for nothing and math metaphorically raped my brain. End of story.

Well, maybe I'll finish something by tommorrow afternoon (next TeenWrite!!! :D). Maybe not; I'll probably be catching up on the hour of sleep I lost today (over-dramatic sigh!). I'm actually working on something that's supposed to be a different part from this*, but predictable-me won't even finish half a page. But, then again, I might surprise myself.

Dansons la Capucine

This made my day so much better than it was going to be. At first, I was having unexplained self-esteem issues that came right the eff out of nowhere and then someone showed this video to me. During the entire thing, me and a senior were practically rolling on the ground from laughing so hard about how cute the damn thing was.

Anyway, ENJOY!

Adventures on the Other Side of the World

I didn't actually travel to the other side of the world over the weekend (sorry for lying). All I did was spend five hours in a car traveling to the very-far-away town of Addy, WA for a baby shower. It was my first one, so my mom thought it was worth the trip. We traveled past countless fields of nothing but grasslands and occasional farm houses. We also passed a lot of properties with tons of crap in their yards. I took this time to take a nap (because I had to wake up at 6 :'( ), and to actually finish some of the many books I have to read. I'm so proud of myself... :) We also spent a couple of hours listening to The Magician's Nephew on CD, since we had nothing to do but spend hours driving past fields, staying at the constant speed of 65 MPH.

Charles the Piggybank, holding the winning answers
After a long trip down the highway, an Asian noodle place, and another hour in the car later, we arrived at the baby shower. We had about ten minutes before the shower actually began, so we chatted with family that Mom and I hadn't seen in a year. I got to say hi to my cousins again (the older cousin was the one who was having the shower). Eventually, everyone came and we played three baby shower games, which took about four hour to do in total. I wasn't totally bored, though. I had people to talk to. Me and my mom actually won one of the shower games. For clarification, it was the one where you have to identify the candy bar in the diaper that looks like poop (ew.). Want to know what the prize was? Meet Charles, the Prize Piggybank manufactured in China!

Anyway, Mom and I spent the night at the nicest common hotel room EVER and left the hotel the next morning at nine. I was kind of sad to leave. I missed passing through the peaceful countryside and the sunny weather, and the best freaking hotel room in the freaking WORLD!

Anyway, that's what happened in the past weekend. I hope you were somewhat enlightened. At least now you know what the background picture is all about. Charles has agreed to be the new mascot for CVON. <3

ANYWAY... ;)

Trying to Find Inspiration to be a Happy Writer

So yeah, I haven't found much time/energy to write anything new (aka I was being lazy), and I found this. Most of my problems with writing are found in this list. For example, I don't really set myself up to realistic goals, I always compare myself to others, I MUST NEVER SUCK!!!, I don't really open myself up enough to spill out my deeper, darker insides out to the anonymous public, and I actually need to FINISH ONE OF MY NUMEROUS PIECES OF CRAP!!!

Anyway, here's the website:

I'll leave you now, to produce the crappiest-yet-worthwile writing/literary crap so I can share with the world.

Hey, Guys...

Okay, I'm sorry I haven't been on here as much as I have been in the past several months. I have legit reasons why I've been MIA:
  1. Last week was Hell Week, where I lost 10 hours of sleep due to the daylight savings change. That, added onto the stress of the hectic everyday school life, and you have Hell Week, ladies and gentlemen!
  2. I've been writing again. Not going to say anything more, but I'll let you know when it's on Figment and my DeviantArt pages.
  3. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to bring a peaceful resistance to life. I call it "The Scholarly Liberation Act", where I, with a (hopefully) huge following of high school students, try to persuade school boards everywhere in America to ease off on the studies. I was even hoping to reach branching points, like some time on Ellen, or maybe having the President or First Lady broadcast some written act that demands to have the National School Board ease off of the homework or their asses will be hauled into jail. Just some fantasies, but I hope I'll find time/energy/inspiration/etc. to pull it off. Plus, ironically, it'll look good on my resume (if I ever do something about it!).
  4. I have WAY too many books to read. I have:
    1. The Chosen for school
    2. Looking for Alaska from the school library
    3. The Scorpio Races for writing classes
    4. Summer of No Regrets for writing classes
    5. Runemarks from the library before I have to return it
      1. Maybe I'll have time for intense reading on the weekend...
  5. Homework. 'Nuff said.
  6. I'm trying to buy the only Castle in the Sky CD that isn't the 2010 Disney shit-hash that completely chews the original sound record from the VHS and spits it back out in a "newer" and "better" version. "Newer and better", my ass...
    1. Anyway, I'm ranting, again.
  7. I've been catching up on manga books Yuzu at DeviantArt lent me. She also lent me Summer Wars! :D <excited whisper> best. movie. EVER!!!
  8. There is no 8...

Anyway, check my DeviantArt page for updates, since I practically live there now. I hope you haven't been too sad without my absence! ;)

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Holy Eagle has Landed!

The newly-elected Holy Father, Pope Francis

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, after weeks of tempe sede vacante (aka the only time where the Holy Throne is not occupied by the Pope) AND two days and three failed votes, the Vatican has a new Holy Pope: Pope Francis, previously known as Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergolio from Argentina. This pope election is a landmark in several marks:

1. He's the first Jesuit to become Pope
2. He's the first non-European cardinal to become Pope
3. He's the first man to choose his Pope-ly name as "Francis" when he became Pope
4. He's the first man I'VE EVER SEEN BEING ELECTED POPE!!!

I watched the whole thing, from when the white smoke appeared to when Pope Francis (SO COOL!!!) ended his speech/prayer service.
OH. MY. GOD. THAT. WAS. FREAKING. AMAZING. I'd never thought I'd see anything like this in real life. The only thing I'd seen that related to this was the "Angels and Demons" movie (if you take out all the shooting, death, race against time, Illuminati, etc.). I hope that Pope Francis will do great things in his term of Holy Pope, like get everyone to get comfortable with same-sex marriage. Now that would be freaking fantastic.

I'll leave you with your celebrations of the newly-elected Pope Francis.
HOW COOL OF A NAME IS POPE FRANCIS??!! THAT'S ALSO AS COOL AS THE NAME SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI (only much shorter)!!!

Thanks, Benjamin Franklin, for your "Best" Invention Ever...

Many years ago, Benjamin Franklin suggested the idea of daylight savings, but was shut down for the thought that it would be impractical. It was brought up again much later (during World War I, to be exact) and was put into standard life to today and beyond. Since it's time again for us to pull the clocks back an hour (or forward, I can never really tell), I have to put my say into this revolutionary idea:

It's the dumbest thing Benjamin Franklin ever invented. EVER.

The reason I say this is because of two reasons:

1. I don't like change, especially if it's a split-second change
2. I'm not a morning person. AT. ALL.

I have never liked change, and I certainly won't feel differently about it in the future, so turning the clocks forward (or backward, whichever way it is now) will mess up my sleep schedule. This brings me to my next point: on Monday morning, I'll have to wake up at 5 in the morning when the clock says it's 6. Now, I know that there are some people I know that wake up even earlier because they have some sort of sports meet or they live far away from school, but really, is it worth all that much suffering just so we can have the clocks match the times when the sun rises and sets? The pre-historic hominids didn't need it, the people in Ben Franklin's time period need it, and we the people of the busy 21st century don't need to wake up an hour earlier.

SPRING. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS. SUCKS!!!

Have a good night's sleep, y'all, because it'll be one of the last tender, good-night's sleeps you'll have for a while (or for the first week of the new daylight savings, until you get adjusted to e new sleep schedule).

'Night, ducklings!

Ray Bradbury, "Fahrenheit 451", and Me

*NOTE: BTW, this is just a re-hash from my DeviantArt journal, but I don't care, since I have nothing better to talk about. Enjoy.*

I saw the movie with my dad about a year or so ago, and was blocked from completely recognizing the awesome themes and ideas that Ray Bradbury injected into one of his masterpieces, "Fahrenheit 451". It reeked of the 1970s, with the hairstyles, makeup, fashions, etc. (those who've seen the movie know what I'm talking about) But the stuff that wasn't blocked from my memory really stuck out to me, like when the old woman said that she'd rather die than to see her books burn because the people inside them are alive. 0_0

Anyway, the whole subject/feel of the book and-or movie, and the master, Ray Bradbury himself, has inspired me to write.
Yes, people. I! AM! WRITING! SOMETHING! :D I won't get much into it right now, but rest assured, it'll be awesome as time progresses. I'm trying to write it a dystopia/satire of Ray Bradbury, which is weird because I haven't read the book yet, but I kind of know what to satire and I'M SUCH A MESS!!!

Anyway, I hope me telling you this hasn't made me burn out before I even had the chance to lift myself off the ground. I'll also try to get some characters I "created from my crappy-art hands" onto my DeviantArt, both past, present, and future characters.

I hope this "free-journal-skins" thing leaves the right for people who don't have the access to buy a Premium Membership (ie, ME) to access the journal skins we downloaded for the moment where life was momentarily awesome, because THIS SKIN IS REALLY COOL AND I WANT TO USE MORE OF IT IN THE FUTURE!!! PLEASE LET US LESSER DEVIANTS USE THESE COOL JOURNAL SKINS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE WHO IS A PREMIUM MEMBER!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry about that. I need to get writing. :)

Until next time,
